SUPPLIES  • 6x9 clip boards (found these at michaels) • paints + paint brushes • silhouette chalkboard vinyl • silhouette transfer paper • chalk or chalk marker
paint clip boards. (on these ones, the clamp comes off, making it easier to paint.) while those are drying, open up your silhouette studio...
i used the rectangle scalloped frame from the 4 scalloped shapes (in the online store) and just drew a rectangle for my son's. they are all about 4.5 x 6.5. the font is bebas neue.
once you're done with your design, cut them out using the chalkboard vinyl. remove all the excess vinyl. apply the transfer paper over your design. and then apply your design onto your dry clip boards.

then use your chalk or chalk marker (so much cleaner) to write out those chores. my kids enjoy getting to mark things off as they go (at least for a couple days).

ETA: I found the Bistro Chalk Marker on Etsy

To kick off the week, we have...

preppy workout outfits.

I have to be truthful, I don't work out enough.  I always have good intentions, but I find excuse after excuse to not go to the gym.  Until recently!  This summer I decided I had no excuse... I had to start exercising.  So, I've been stretching, doing crunches and taking daily walks for thirty minutes or longer.  It's been great.  I even got a new pair of Nike shoes (it had been four years since my last new pair of tennis shoes!).
Since I've been working out a lot recently I thought I'd put together a few summer workout outfits.

Track Shorts | Tank Top | Running Shoes

Tank Top | Yoga Pants | Water Bottle | Yoga Mat
Tennis Dress | New Balance Tennis Shoes | Kate Spade Tennis Bag

What is your favorite summer workout?

summer past time : roasting marshmallows.

One of my favorite summer past times is roasting marshmallows by the campfire.  S'mores are just so darn yummy, don't you think?  This week One Kings Lane had a sale on campfire essentials, including marshmallow roasting forks.  OKL's sale made me crave s'mores.  So I decided to put together a few things I think are essential for the perfect summer campfire.

Campfire Essentials

Marshmallow roasting forks
Marshmallows
Hershey's Chocolate
Graham Crackers
Citronella Candle
Blanket

Did you roast marshmallows on the fourth?

I am looking for a few guest bloggers for when I'm on vacation email me or comment if you're interested!

Royal Tennis Dress.

I am in love with the dress HRH Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge wore to Wimbledon this week.  It was the perfect dress for a summer tennis match.

I love this Alexander McQueen sweater dress.  Kate paired the nautical dress with a pair of navy L.K. Bennett pumps (one of Kate's favorite shoe designers).

The Duchess carried one of her go-to bags, this Jaegar Kate Bag (similar).

I love that the Duchess sported a nautical look for Wimbledon this week, she is right on point with all her outfits these days!
