How mesmerizing are these shots of Sue Austin, a U.K.-based performance and installation artist. Wheelchair bound since 1996, Austin has dedicated her work to “finding ways to understand and represent my embodied experience as a wheelchair user.” So, she teamed up with scientists and diving experts, and the self-propelled underwater wheelchair was born. Using her feet to direct the wheelchair, Austin is able to explore to her heart's content. Doesn't she look so free and peaceful? You can see more of Austin's wonderful work here. Bravo!
