Blog redesign: Let's talk blog layouts!

Remember when I announced that a blog redesign is coming your way? Well, I've been pinning inspiration, but I want to include you, friends, so I have a question: What sorts of things do you look for in a blog layout? I'm finding that it's SO easy to get overwhelmed by all the ideas out there, but I know I want a layout that is both simple and easy to navigate.

Some other words I keep coming back to when thinking about the new layout: Clean, fresh, crisp, modern and homey (is that even a word?).

So, do tell, friends: What sorts of blogs draw you in? Blogs with simple layouts? Lots of white space? Pops of color? Busy layouts? Minimalist layouts? And also, when it comes to sidebar content, do you like lots of links or just a few? What makes you bookmark a blog and what makes you click away? Thank you SO much, friends! xoxo
