Tell me about your shop. What's the inspiration behind its launch?I have always loved everything handmade. I like the way handmade pieces almost look alive. It is as if they tell us a story. I wanted my shop to tell a story about what I treasure. So I decided to make hand-knitted and hand-sewn accessories that I liked in the first place, hoping that other people will like them too. What advice do you have for people doing holiday shopping online?I would say do not wait until the last minute to make your order. This way, you have more chances to get it in time for Christmas! Also, some shops (such as mine) only have a limited quantity of products that are ready to ship, so if the product you have ordered has to be made, you should allow a great amount of time for your order to be completed, especially during this particular time of the year!

What are some ways that people can still look chic for less?
I think the key is to buy less and to make smarter choice. Go for more unique piece or pieces that will last. Don't put a lot of money on something that is a passenger trend. When I was younger, I used to buy a lot of cheaper clothes and accessories to be trendy, but in the end, I was never satisfied with the way I looked because everyone looked the same as me! Now I focus on original and more unique pieces; they might cost a little more, but since I buy less, I save money in the end. And I always look different and unique. That's what chic is all about. There are also now so many DIY Web sites that suggest projects for fashionable items. These allow you to look chic on a budget.

What is your favorite piece in your shop and why?For this time of the year, I would say that I really like my big slouchy hat in sea green. I love the color and the softness of the yarn and the fit! This hat fits almost everybody, and I have sold a lot of these already! Otherwise, I love all of the summer headbands; I like the fact that you can wear the knot on the front or on the side or even on the back, and some of them are reversible so there are even more ways to wear them!
