What's one of your favorite childhood traditions with your parents?

When I was a kid, my father and I had a tradition of our own. Since I was in the hospital a lot for my surgeries, to make the whole scary experience a bit less scary, we'd go "exploring" as he'd call it. He'd take me strolling in my wheelchair -- IV in tow -- all around exploring the hospital. We'd go to the gift shop, the cafeteria or just find a window and look out over the Chicago skyline. We'd even make our way down a tunnel in the basement, and it felt like we were in a submarine and not such a stark, sterile hospital. Such good childhood memories!
