We all have those amazing, stand-out memories from childhood, don't we, friends? The ones that helped to define our childhood, and when we think of them now, we're immediately transported back in time -- even if decades have gone by. Yesterday's trip down memory lane got me thinking about those special snapshots of childhood that we collect and keep safely in our minds. Have a question? I'd love to hear it, so feel free to email me (mellow1422 [at] aol) or ask me on Facebook or Twitter, friends! Today's question...What's one of your favorite childhood traditions with your parents?

When I was a kid, my father and I had a tradition of our own. Since I was in the hospital a lot for my surgeries, to make the whole scary experience a bit less scary, we'd go "
exploring" as he'd call it. He'd take me strolling in my wheelchair -- IV in tow -- all around exploring the hospital. We'd go to the gift shop, the cafeteria or just find a window and look out over the Chicago skyline. We'd even make our way down a tunnel in the basement, and it felt like we were in a submarine and not such a stark, sterile hospital. Such good childhood memories!
